There's No Place Like Home

So I was perusing Saks today and dreaming about shoes I cannot afford. I came across these and all I could think was they would have been perfect for my Dorothy costume for Halloween...

Holiday Market Preview Party

So I am jumping ahead a bit but I have to start now to find what I am going to wear to the Jr League Holiday Market preview party. It is cocktail attire so I decided to peruse Saks' website to see if I found any contenders. Your votes will help!

Chetta B Black Sequined

Kay Unger "Grown Up Party Dress"

Nanette Lapore "Rock the Party"

Tibi "Dupioni Demure"

Badgley Mischka "Berry Nice"

Yes I made up the little names next to them... except for the Chetta B because I like the name Chetta B!

Big City Shoes

If I were a different me... as in if I lived in a big, fashionable city... I would want to always dress up. I would love to be a fashion designer or work for one. And if I lived in a big, fashionable city, I would wear these shoes... Valentino Red Wonder

A Flat Fall

So, I have always loved heels but never wearing them. My feet are always aching within an hour or two of wearing them... but this doesn't stop me! I do, however, love that "flats" are so popular and have been for the past few seasons. Today, I found a pair that are just hmmm... awesome! I love the details and how they are edgy but you could put them on with skinny jeans and a boyfriend cardigan or wear them with a shift dress. So without further ado... if I actually could afford them... The Zipper Ballerina

Taylor Swift

So tonight I am going to the Taylor Swift concert and although my good friend K told me to wear a suede vest with fringe (I mean I am devastated that I don't have one of those...) I think I shall wear my boots, Tulah skirt, and my Liberty top.

So excited!!!!!!!!! Especially because concerts are the perfect place to people watch and play "what not to wear"... hilarity is sure to !

Can'g go wrong with Gucci!

Well... you can't go wrong with wearing Gucci ever! I wish I had bought something while I was in Italy but it isn't any cheaper there then in the rest of the world but it does seem to be on every street corner.

Here is my pack for Fall Bag of Choice: Gucci Jackie Guccissima Leather Shoulder Bag

Love it!

Heaven....

So... it is no secret that I love shoes. I think I even have shoes that I have not worn out of the house for fear of them getting a smudge... just kidding. I do have some super fancy ones that haven't seen the light of day and very little of night because I can't dance in high heels!

Alas, my love for shoes has grown and today Bergdorf previewed the Fall collection of Louboutin's and I am sold. I would sale my left kidney (do you have a left kidney??) for these....

Pure awesomeness

I am drooling at work....

to the Us Open... Go Mickelson!

Last week was the St Jude Open which I missed due to living on the East Coast now. However, if I were visiting the US Open this weekend in Farmingdale, NY, I would wear something like....

This Lilly top:

With Vineyard Vine capris in white:

With a yellow cardigan:

to the CMT music awards

A cool cocktail dress... mine of choice:

With these of course:

for a baby shower

Ok, so I live in the South. Which means we do baby showers a little differently. It's all doilies and silver cups and tea sandwiches. For a typical southern baby shower I would wear something like this....

However, this weekend I am throwing a shower for one of my dear friends who is more up on the latest trends and has continued to look amazing and cool during her pregnancy so I will be wearing something more like this...

With my Ava Citizen's jeans

And I like flats... Coach Sierra in black

while stalking any movie star

First of all you should not stalk a movie star. However, should you "happen" to be in the same place they are such as while you are celebrating your birthday in NYC later this summer... I digress... a more appropriate outfit is one that makes you blend in, and not with the crazies or hoards of teeny boppers spazzing out on the streets of NYC. For instance, I am a Lilly girl therefore if I was in NYC and "happen" to walk by where they were filming I would probably be wearing something like this...

If you try to change yourself to wear something you think someone would expect you to wear or would make you more visible, you may end up a Cosmo don't!

What not to wear....

when stalking Robert Pattinson filming in NYC... see exhibit A

These crazies are not only totally psycho for attacking Rob but their AWFUL fashion sense.  I think the one chick thought she could confuse Rob into thinking she was Kstew with her outfit but the rats nest on top of her head was a dead give away.  I mean they are like the lame spice girls of NY.  Their lameness is so bad... I am at a loss for words...
